WIZO has been part of the Reading community for more than 58 years, and we are delighted that one of the founding members of the group is still an active participant in all our events.

Meetings are held monthly in members' homes, and once a year a large fund raising event is held. This can sometimes be a garden party, or given the vagaries of the English summer, a Bridge and Scrabble dinner.
WIZO's main thrust is to raise money for its many projects in Israel, but here in Reading it serves many more functions. It is the only Zionist group in the town, and from a social and cultural point of view, the meetings held are always extremely well attended and act as a focal point for bringing the community together.
