Royal County of Berkshire Branch
The Council of Christians and Jews was founded in 1942, as a result of an initiative between Chief Rabbi Hertz and Archbishop Temple, in order to promote good relations between Christian and Jewish communities. Today it has more than 50 branches throughout the United Kingdom and continues to enjoy support at all levels. It is a member organisation of the International Council of Christians & Jews. CCJ is neither a missionary nor a political organisation.
