Being a full member of the community confers particular benefits on you and, as appropriate, your partner and family, in particular:

Becoming part of our close knit community and our social network

Opportunities for you to get actively involved in the life and running of the community

Access to the Rabbi to discuss relevant topics of a personal nature
•
Your guaranteed seat(s) in the synagogue for services, particularly for the high holy
days and other festivals

The right to join the burial society
•
Cheder classes for the children
•
Access to our Kosher Food & Judaica Shops

Monthly newsletter
Further to community members run many activities of for the community such as:
•
Regular social group meetings in members own houses
•
Social events at the Synagogue and in members houses
•
Social events organized at local venues
•
Kiddushim (a drink, nosh & chat) following most services
•
Adult education classes and discussions
•
Language classes
The list is not exhaustive, members take it upon themselves to organize events for the benefit of the community!
How to become a Full Member
In order to become a full member you will need to:
•
Complete an application form
•
Demonstrate that your background is technically halachically (legally) Jewish. This
is normally demonstrated either by:
•
an orthodox marriage certificate (ketubah)
•
a synagogue record of an orthodox marriage, or
•
birth certificates back through the female line to such a record above (e.g. your
mother was married in an orthodox synagogue)
•
Have the form approved by the Rabbi
